Okay everyone, This book was good as heck! I really don't know where to start. There are soooo many twist and turn in this joker..Tommy is the real deal! I mean that literally. He goes through quite a bit in his life, some that are good and some that are bad. I really liked his mother. Being that she was a young mother that was in love with a dog! She instilled alot of good qualities in him and for that I was happy. One person i did not like in this book was HOPE! She was his on again off again girlfriend.. Hope was the master at games and the biggest whore ever..She played soo many mind games with Tommy until it was ridiculous. I was so glad when he finnally tighten up and kick that chick to the curb. I wanted to knock some sense in him so dang bad. Right when I got excited about him seeing through Hope and her madness he goes and have a baby by a airheaded whore. Those are the worst. He leaves her after coming home and finding her having sex on his couch with someone else. Yeah...smh. I was so glad when he finally found someone descent! I know it was kinda wrong for him to be dating this person but you cant help who you fall in love with. Sometimes its someone we least expect. I would love to keep going on but ive given way too much info as it is. Sooo, if you want to know more about this story you have to buy the book!!!! My life has been f****d up from the beginning, straight up. The purpose for it I couldn't tell you, but the reason is Rasheed Carter! I am so loving this book. Although this is the first book that I have read by him, I am a fan for life and now he is adding to my addiction to read. This book had me laughing, crying, and wanting to jump through my kindle at Hope or anyone that did anything to Tommy. I loved Tommys character but he was just to damn gullible. At times I wanted to kill him but I was happy with how everything played out in the ending. In all I would recommend this book to everyone that can read because it is a must read. GREAT JOB MR. RASHEED CARTER!

This story is about Tommy and his life. As a youngster, he was teased and beat up by his cousins. He was a timid boy who had no friends until he meets Kaymone and Moochie, the neighborhood thugs. Then he gets a taste of Hope and falls head over heels for Hope's "candy walls". His mind be telling him no, but his body, his body telling him yes ). Hope has Tommy whipped, she dogs him time after time but he can't get enough of Hope...or can he? Then his BFFs are regulating in the streets, and Tommy's right there in the middle, ignoring those inner thoughts that's telling him "this aint right", "this aint you", "you don't have to be doing this". Will he finally listen before it's too late? You'll have to read the book to find out )

Poor grammar, inadequate and shallow story line, story is told from weird perspectives, no moral or lesson learned.... Poorly written in general...it was as if the author was telling a story of his life and was trying to piece together fragments of his memory. The one thing I did like was the "I do not know the purpose of my life, but the reason..." or however it went. Very difficult and unrealistic read, a 14 year old owning multiple homes? Really? In what state? Things like that pissed me off. Sorry, I just don't see how other real readers could give this book any more than 2 stars , and that's for effort.
This was my first time reading anything by Rasheed Carter. This book was very interesting and the more I read it, the more I liked it. It's about the life a young man named Tommy who in my opnion should've been a girl. Why? He was very emotional and had a sensitive side. He grows up trying to fit in with the streets, but just never seemed to be his type of hype.He falls for Hope who he thinks loves him the same way he loves her. He tries to be on the same level as his childhood friends Kaymone & Moochie but doesn't fit that part and Kaymone knows it. He still remains Tommy best friend and has his back no matter what. As the friends grow older they begin to get into more & more trouble. This will have you on the edge wondering will Kaymone turn on Tommy, will this friendship stand the test of times, will it stand through all the dirt and grime? Read for yourself. Rasheed I really enjoyed this book and now I'm on to read the others. Keep doing you, alot of people may not comprehend what you have written and think it's all over the place. All you have to do with book is become one with it and let your imagination take you into the story, become one with the description of the scene and what is taking place, become one with the characters.
Mr. Rasheed brought to his fans a story that had you in stiches one minute, mad one minute and sad for a split second. I enjoyed growing up with this young character as he told about his childhood thru early manhood. The story is touching as you read about the love that a mother has for her son and how she single-handedly teaches him about being a man. We have all had that one LOVE affair that we became a fool for only to realize that it is only a LUST affair. Your child may have those sets of friends that you try hard to steer them clear of but there's always an allie in the family that will help them get with them not realizing the consequenses that will follow. There's the family member that will take the AID out of your HEARING just to get that next hit of drugs. I found myself laughing as if I was at a comedy club at times, but wanting to reach my hand through the words and snatch Tommy out of there and beat his brain straight at others. I actually wanted to get in there and fight his battles for him and then I would have to calm down and remind myself that it is just a book. Very good read although started a little slow but for me the third chapter had me hooked and "Sucka For Love" has me being a "Sucka For More" as I wait for more of this writer's work.
